A taste of Alta Via dei Parchi

This itinerary is a section of Alta Via dei Parchi (the “high way of parks”), it's the long trek that starts in Berceto (Parma) and ends in Carpegna (Rimini).
The naturalistic beauties, the wild ambient and the long sections of trek we are going to travel in solitude will reward us abundantly for our efforts.

This itinerary is a section of Alta Via dei Parchi (the “high way of parks”), it's the long trek that starts in Berceto (Parma) and ends in Carpegna (Rimini).
We start from Ponte della Venturina which is easily reachable by train and we climb the promontory that marks the Reno's valley and the Limentra's valley, then it goes to Pavana and descends to Suviana until it reaches the Brasimone lake, where we will spend the first night.
On second day we will reach Tavianella mountain, then we will go down to the Sanctuary of Bocca di Rio which was built in 1480 after the Virgin Mary appeared to two young shepherds.
The third leg goes up to Passeggere where it crosses the famous Via degli Dei for a short section, then it comes to the Monghidoro's Alp where we will spend the night.
We will leave for the last leg and we will arrive to the Raticosa Pass in one hour and a half. Go ahead on Canda mountain and continue on the ridge between Idice and Sillaro rivers. We will arrive in Piancaldoli in the afternoon, here it is possible to go to Imola by public transportation.
The naturalistic beauties, the wild ambient and the long sections of trek we are going to travel in solitude will reward us abundantly for our efforts.
