Parco Avventura Cerwood, woods of emotions!
This was the first adventure park to be created in Emilia Romagna and today it is the largest in Italy for number of trails. Cerwood, located inside the Parco delle Fonti di Santa Lucia di Cervarezza just outside the Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano, now offers you the new CerwoodSport facility with mountain bike hire, volleyball courts, electric quads, pedal go kart track, five-a-side football pitch, and children’s bike park.
13 ADVENTURE TRAILS and 2 new alternative trails
Thirteen trails suspended in the trees and more than 120 games for children and adults including suspended bridges, walkways, tunnels, swinging logs, ropes and zip wires. Children can have fun on four trails that are maximum 2 meters off the ground. Nine trails of increasing difficulty are ready to challenge youngsters and adults: Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Red, Great Zip Wire (a descent more than 100 m long with a pulley), Black and Super Black to test your coordination and balance, plus the new Impossible trail. Before starting, an instructor will explain you techniques and safety aspects. In the Tree Climbing area you can try tree climbing and moving in the tree tops with the help of ropes and special equipment.
After flying from one tree to another, you can enjoy a relaxing walk in the Parco delle Fonti di Cervarezza (free entry): the loop trail takes half an hour and is not particularly challenging. Among wooden walkways and trails there are picnic areas with tables, benches and BBQs. Lake Calomone, below Mount Ventasso is just an hour’s walk away; the trail is well marked and also suitable for mountain bikes (which can be hired at the park). For children aged between two and eight there is a play area equipped with a track for small tractors and pedal cars, ping pong, inflatable games, painting workshops, a mini wood-working workshop and tree houses. Visitors can also pedal on go-karts (strictly ecological), play volleyball, book rock climbing, orienteering and geocaching lessons. Activities are also organised with Nature Guides (G.A.E.) or Mountain Guides for groups of at least 15 people (trekking, treasure hunts, environmental education and canyoning).
The Bosco Restaurant offers local dishes for everyone’s delight.
