Cerreto Laghi

Reggio Emilia Apennines: Cerreto Laghi

Cerreto Laghi lies in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, near the Cerreto Pass, border and crossroads of Emilia Romagna, Liguria and Tuscany. Cerreto Laghi groups all the natural and landscape features and sport-recreational facilities to satisfy your desire for an ideal winter holiday. Set in the beautiful setting of Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano, this resort surrounds a glacial lake at the foot of Mount Nuda, among beech woods covered in deep snow in the winter season. Thanks to its good geographic position, Cerreto Laghi is a ski resort that can be easily reached from Emilia, Liguria and Tuscany; it is well connected to Reggio Emilia, La Spezia and Aulla.

Cerreto Laghi is one of the most popular, renowned and well equipped ski resorts in central-northern Italy thanks to the high number of ski lifts, the rich offer of tourist facilities and services and the variety of winter sports(downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating).  Even the most demanding skier can satisfy his/her desire for sport and snow at Cerreto Laghi, thanks to the over 25 km of downhill slopes of different levels of difficulty, constantly snow covered also thanks to an improved artificial snow system. To help skiers uphill there are four chairlifts (one is a quad) and a ski lift, which thanks to their efficiency guarantee a capacity of 6,500 people/hour.

For children and beginners there is a ski school organised by professional instructors; thanks to their competence even who has never been on skis before can learn. The activities are all carried out in total safety thanks to an efficient integrated safety system that includes monitoring of the slopes, protection infrastructures and a constant rescue and assistance service for skiers.

Skiing is not the only activity available; in fact you can diversify your activities and free time by going to the modern and functional Ice Rink, the only place of this type in the Apennines.  Cross-country skiing is also available with a number of trails that unfold in the enchanting century-old beech woods.

Thanks to the wide range of recreational and accommodation facilities available, your stay at Cerreto Laghi will be unforgettable. There are thirteen hotels that can welcome more than eight hundred people, a great number of restaurants and pizzerias, shops, information points and tourist services.

In the summer, Cerreto Laghi is transformed into a resort for relaxing or walking holidays against the unique backdrop of the Cerreto lakes, pearl of the Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano.
