Downhill skiing and cross-country skiing

In the province of Piacenza downhill skiing is available at the Penice Pass ski resort in the municipality of Bobbio (art town which has been awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club Italiano and the largest mountain resort in the province) with runs of different difficulty and snow from December to March thanks to an artificial snow system. The 4,500 m2 ski school slope, the Girasole run (420 m) and the Diretta run (320 m) are illuminated at night and equipped with hand-drag.

Cross-country skiing is also available in the municipality of Bobbio on the trail in Le Vallette-Ceci which covers 10 kilometres with 7.5, 5, 3 and 2 kilometre loops.  (The grooming of the trail depends on the amount of snow)
