The area features 120 different itineraries covering 1500 km suitable for bicycles, over an area that stretches to the provinces of Bologna and Reggio Emilia. Mountain bike and mountain lovers will discover that the Modena Apennines offer a wealth of opportunities. Cross-country, freeride and downhill courses and trails, many of which are GPS mapped, unfold across breathtaking landscape connecting the municipalities of the district  (Fanano, Fiumalbo, Montecreto, Lama Mocogno, Pavullo, Pievepelago, Riolunato, Serramazzoni and Sestola), as well as the municipalities in the districts of Fringano, Val Dragone and East Modena Mountain Community.

The network of mountain bike itineraries and trails of the Modena Apennines forms the largest GPS mapped cycling district in Italy in terms of size and extension. The signal covers an area that stretches east to Corno alle Scale (BO) and west to Mount Ventasso and the Enza River on the border with Parma. To enjoy the safe and practical GPS service, the necessary equipment with the maps of the itineraries can be hired from local tour operators or downloaded onto a GPS from (italian).
